Gosling's Driving Miss Daisy CD WC OD
"Daisy"

Daisy is the Moonlight beginnings. The Bedfords were involved in Goldens for several years just doing research. We felt we didn't know enough about the breed to make decisions about breeding. At that point we had one rescued male, Sonny Crockett CDX, WC, and a show male Sandpiper's Fortune Cookie CDX JH WCX VC.

We called Daisy our Field Trial Pup. While attending our first GRCA National Specialty in Frederick, MD in the Fall of 1990 we fell in love with her. Although we weren't really looking for a pup, at the WC/WCX test, there was an exercise pen with pups, and one that just stood out. That was Daisy. We bought her from Kay Gosling, and took her back to Florida.

Daisy and Charly
Daisy turned eyes from day one. Our golden friends used to joke with us that all they brought home from the national was a t-shirt. Our perpetual pup, Daisy did collect 2 show points, placements in obedience and earned her WC.

Where she excelled was the whelping box -- she produced four litters, and was the foundation of "Moonlight." Her first litter, out of CH Daystar's Tornado Warning, produced three American Champions ---CH Moonlight'Sophisticated Lady CD WC, CH Moonlight's Abe Lincoln , and CH Moonlight's Up N Atom. A repeat breeding to Tory produced performance and field titles with Moonlight's Chasing Reignbows JH CD WCX, Moonlight's Singing in the Reign CD JH NA WCX.

Daisy was our perpetual puppy and our puppy trainer. She was definitely the leader of her pack, demanding respect but protecting the other dogs, even at her small, 54 pound frame. Daisy was loved by all and will truly be missed.
