With the first Moonlight litter, it was critical. Everyone agreed which bitch would be the "keeper" from this litter - the one with the elegant neck. In keeping with the jazz-related theme, we named her for the Duke Ellington tune "Sophisticated Lady" and called her "Ellie." Ellie was the first of her litter to complete her conformation championship, all owner-handled by Rob. She accompanied Rob to graduate school at the University of Arizona. At the age of eight, she earned her CD and at nine she earned her WC, and with it the GRCA Versatility Certificate. Ellie produced three litters, earning the GRCA Outstanding Dam title through the accomplishments of her offspring in obedience, agility, field and breed ring. She occasionally comes out of retirement to show in Veterans conformation classes at specialty shows. |
